Dr HK Aggarwal Joins as Vice-Chancellor of UHS Rohtak

As per the order issued by Governor and Chancellor Ashim Kumar Ghosh, Dr. Aggarwal, a distinguished alumnus of PGIMS Rohtak, has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. He will serve a term of three years or until he attains the age of 68, whichever is earlier. The appointment takes effect from the date he assumes charge.
Dr. Aggarwal had been serving as Acting Vice-Chancellor since November 29 last year, while also discharging duties as Registrar for over nine years. A proud product of PGIMS Rohtak, he has contributed more than 35 years to medical education, research, and administration at his alma mater, bringing deep institutional knowledge and experience to the role.
He currently serves as National President of the Indian Association of Clinical Medicine and was recently honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Innovative Physician Forum. Earlier this year, he also received the Master Teacher Award from the Association of Physicians of India
His elevation not only reflects his personal achievements but also stands as a moment of pride for the alumni fraternity of PGIMS Rohtak. With this appointment, the post of Registrar at UHSR now stands vacant.
